TheexistenceofKachinRevolutionagainstmilitaryjuntawillreach49yearson5thofFebruary2010.
Itremindsusthataftersuch
decadesofcompromised,BurmesemilitaryjuntahaveshownnowillingnesstosolvethepoliticalproblemsthatexisttodayinBurmapeacefully.AlthoughourspirittoformagenuineFederalUnionbasedonequalrightsandself-determinationremainthesame.
Aftermanyyearsoftrialpeaceagreementwithregimeforpeaceful
politicalsettlement,incontrarytherewerenosuchprogressesaswhatwe,Kachinpeoplehopefor.Instead,increasedmilitarization,culturalgenocides,judiciarykillings,rapeandseveralhumanrightsviolationscommittedbymilitaryjuntacontinue.Seeingtheircommitmentstocontinuetooppresstheethnicnationalities,onthisKachinRevolutionfoundingday,weneed
toremindourselvesthattoraiseourrevolutionaryspiritoncemoretoeliminateandcrushmilitaryregimefromrulingpower.
WewillbeholdingademonstrationinfrontofBurmesemilitary’srepresentativeofficesocalledMyanmarEmbassybetween12:00a.m.to13.00p.m.on5thofFebruary2010.Wewill
beprotestingandurgingmilitaryjuntatostopMyitsoneIrrawaddydamprojectsofmilitaryjuntaandChinesecompanyonthisauspiciousday.WebelievethattoprotectIrrawaddyRiver,isanultimatedutyofeverycitizenofBurmatherefore,wewouldliketoinviteeverycommunityfromBurmaresidingintheU.K
tojoinandshowyoursolidarity.
