Treasure Island Holiday Boat Parade
Saturday, December 20, 6:20 - 8 PM
Boats, decorated in brilliant and creative light displays, parade around Boca Ciega Bay, starting at The Club at
Treasure Island and ending at John's Pass. If you (or your good friends) live on the even-numbered side of 115th Ave or
the odd-numbered side of 9th St E, you already know the best place from which to watch the parade. The best public
places to watch the parade are the TI Causeway Bridge or at John’s Pass. Or, if you bring one unwrapped new toy to
the Recreation Department at City Hall by Friday, December 19th you will receive a family pass to watch the
parade from The Club, where you can enjoy free entertainment and refreshments poolside. (And, get to see Santa.)

Annual Isle of Palms Spaghetti Dinner
Tuesday,
February 24
6 - 9 PM
Tickets:
only $10.00
Lots more event information including the menu,
entertainment, and how you can get your tickets,
coming in next month’s newsletter.
This is our most popular event of the year. You
definitely won’t want to miss this.
SUGGESTION: Even if you won’t be at your Isle of Palms home on Christmas Eve, be sure to get your Luminary Kit
anyway, and make arrangements with a neighbor to set them up and take them down for you. lf you live on a corner
you’ll get 2 kits, if you ask. The visual effect is much more dramatic when the luminaries completely line the streets.
Did you ever wonder...What exactly are “reindeer games?”

An Isle of Palms Holiday Tradition
The photo above, taken many years ago, is of “Christmas
Luminaries on the Isle of Palms.” The holiday luminary

travel postcards that were sold in stores. Now, you have
the opportunity to continue to build on that tradition.
Civic Association volunteers will be distributing Luminary
Kits (candles and bags) to all residents of the Isle of Palms
who pay their annual association membership fee of just
$10 per household. You have several opportunities to pay
your membership and pick up your kit:
