Saint Paul! VBS is for kids ages 3 years – grade 4, with TotTime VBS for
ages 18 months - 2 years. More information will be coming soon on
how to sign up, as well as how you can volunteer to be a part of the
great adventure!
IMPORTANT CONFIRMATION CLASS CHANGE!!!
Due to changes in staffing, we will be making a tweak in our 7th &
8th grade confirmation format for the next six weeks. The Sunday
morning session of the class will be filmed so that those unable to
make the session will be able to watch it on the new Saint Paul
Confirmation YouTube channel. Here is the link:
https://youtu.be/iP53sktApXE. We will ask families who need to use
this format to supplement the regular lesson with a few essay questions. These will also be
available in the weekly emails from Dari. We do hope that people will be able to adjust
their schedules to attend the Sunday morning sessions, as part of the program is to benefit
from group discussions. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Dari at the
church office. Thank you!

MONDAY NIGHT WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Monday night women's bible study started, but you’re not too late! Our
next meeting is Monday, February 10. This session is reading " WHAT
HAPPENS WHEN WOMEN Walk IN Faith" by Lysa Terkeurst. What if the next
big step God wants you to take is actually small? "This book is filled with
stories and Scripture that will help you apply practical, Biblical truths to
your life. Stepping into the assignments the Lord has for us and pursuing
the dreams He's placed in our hearts can feel overwhelming and
exhilarating all at the same time. But walking in His will begins with our
daily obedience to Him. Be prepared for God to use your small steps of
faith to unleash His work and wonder in your life."
We will meet in the youth room at 7:00pm on the following Mondays: February 10 and 24;
March 9 and 30; April 13 and 27 and May 4 (if needed). You can order the book via
amazon.com or contact Tracy Laesch at [email protected] to order and for more
info. Sign up through the church office or email Tracy.

WAS THERE REALLY A PROPHET NAMED DANIEL?
Come and find out. Decoding Daniel will meet for about 7
Sundays in the Library at 9:05am beginning January 26. Chuck
Black will use the LCMS commentary on one of the most complex
books of the Bible. It contains both a carefully dated historical
account of travails during the Babylonian Exile and apocalyptic
writing some think is harder to decipher than John’s Revelation.
We’ll look at the fascinating historical side and decode some of
the predictions. Please join us.

LEGO REPLAY- Do you have LEGO pieces just laying around not being used (maybe
getting stepped on?) Help closets, feet, and Rebuild the World! Ryan Fokers is doing
his own project collecting LEGO pieces that he will ship off to Give Back Box! Many
of the donated LEGO bricks will end up with Teach For America to be given to
thousands of classrooms across the country. Others will go to Boys & Girls Clubs of
Boston for after-school programs. This is a pilot program LEGO has and it ends soon,
so it’s the perfect chance to clean up those LEGOS! There will be a tote in the
church lobby Saturday, January 18 through Sunday, February 2 for you to dump your
LEGOS into. Donate ANY pieces – DUPLO, JR or regular sized LEGOS. PLEASE –
REMOVE ALL BATTERIES AND MAKE SURE THERE ARE ONLY LEGO PIECES AND NO
OTHER RANDOM TOYS MIXED IN!
BLANKET COLLECTION FOR CHI TOWN BLANKETS - This grass roots organization
has 118 of their 250 winter blankets goal. Blankets may be new or gently used. Please
wash them. No quilts or comforters – they are too heavy to carry around. Look for
the donations box in the church lobby January 25 - February 2. You can also
purchase a blanket from their Amazon wishlist. (Don’t forget to use Scrip and
AmazonSmile so Saint Paul benefits too!) Blankets ordered on Amaon will be sent
directly to Chi Town.

women this Valentine’s Day. Availabe now through Sunday, February

own message to a member of our military. The greeting card, gift
card, and some candy will ship in time for Valentine’s Day. Please stop by our table in the

FOOD DONATIONS FOR JANUARY
For the month of January, we are asking members whose last name begins with A, B, C or D,
or any who have a heart for this ministry, to contribute. If you know of someone who is in
need of food supplies, please let them know they can use our food pantry during church
service times or during the week by visiting the church office.
THANK YOU
What a blessing it has been for me and my family to serve among you these past 16 years!
God has richly given us His grace through your faithful love and care and through your
amazing partnership with us in service to Christ’s Gospel. Thank you for the countless prayers,
gifts, support, and the fruit of love that our Lord has worked through you for us and for this
community of faith we have had the honor to being a part of with you! As I move on to my
next role in serving our Lord and His people, please know that I will always be grateful for my
time at Saint Paul and will hold you all in my heart with love and joy.
Your Servant in Christ – Pastor Kris Whitby
