Jharkhand Public Service Commission Selection process
Recruitment to the Jharkhand Public Service Commission will be
done through Prelims Written Examination, Mains Descriptive Paper,
and Interview & Documents verification.
Step-IV Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
The preliminary examination consists of two papers with
objective-type multiple-choice questions.
The marks obtained in the preliminary examination are not
counted for merit. They are only qualifying in nature.
The language of the question paper is English & Hindi.
The duration of each of the two papers is 2 hours.
There is a provision of negative marking. 0.25 marks are
deducted for every incorrect answer.

Step-V Mains Examination (Descriptive Type Questions)
The written test consists of descriptive-type questions.
After clearing the mains examination with the minimum cut-off
marks, candidates are called for a personal interview.
Each paper will be for 3 hours.

languages.
