The Faculty of Engineering of Cairo University (CUFE) currently offers the following
Bachelor Degrees based on the credit-hours system (CHS) of education:
1. Electrical Engineering: Communication and Computer Engineering- CCE
2. Civil Engineering: Construction Engineering and Management - CEM
3. Civil Engineering: Structural Engineering - STE
4. Civil Engineering: Water Engineering and Environment - WEE
5. Architectural Engineering and Technology – AET (2007)6. Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering - PPC
7. Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical Design Engineering - MDE
8. Electrical Energy Engineering - EEE
Form the Supreme Committee for the conduct of programs of credit hours and would be responsible for policy
formulation and adoption of the reports executive and administrative decisions of the system software of credit
hours, and play the role of the scientific council for these programs, and for her to make use of those who see the
need for the use of its professors specialists.
Constitute an executive committee composed of the general coordinator of programs and program coordinators
and would be responsible for the daily monitoring of the system software of credit hours for undergraduates.
Since the initiation of the programs of the Credit Hours System (CHS), they are directly administrated by the
faculty dean and not by the scientific departments. That procedure was necessary to guarantee the success of
the experiment and build the new programs matrix on recent principles which was essential as soon as the new
programs are specialized and different of 2-semester-programs which are administrated directly by the scientific
departments.

environmentally responsible and technically competent and fuses these with
architectural design and the professional aspects of the construction industry.
WHY AET?
The Goal is to: Train the students to examine
the art of architecture and the science and technology of engineeringwithin a multidisciplinary field that integrates
