WORSHIP MUSIC 10,000 REASONS Matt Redman
Chorus
Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul Worship His holy name.
Sing like never before, O my soul I'll worship Your holy name.
The sun comes up it's a new day dawning It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me Let me be singing when the evening comes. Chorus
You're rich in love and You're slow to anger Your name is great and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find. Chorus
And on that day when my strength is failing The end draws near and my time has come Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore. Chorus twice
Worship Your holy name, Lord, I’ll worship Your Holy name.

WELCOME
*OPENING SONG IN CHRIST ALONE Getty & Townend
Verse 1
In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my light my strength my song. This Cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace! When fears are stilled, when strivings cease.
My Comforter, my All in All, Here in the love of Christ I stand!
Verse 2
In Christ alone who took on flesh, Fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness, Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied. For every sin, on Him was laid.
Here in the death of Christ I live!
Verse 3
There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain. Then bursting forth in glorious Day,
Up from the grave He rose again! And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me. For I am His and He is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
Verse 4
No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me.
From life's first cry, to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand.
Till He returns, or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

*INVOCATION
*CONFESSION AND ABSOLUTION
EPISTLE LESSON Romans 8:28-39 28 And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose, 29 because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified. 31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died (and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us. 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
*ALLELUIA VERSE AGNUS DEI Michael W Smith
Alleluia, Alleluia, For the Lord God almighty reigns. Alleluia, Alleluia, For the Lord God almighty reigns.
Alleluia. Holy. Holy, are you Lord God Almighty.
Worthy is the Lamb, Worthy is the Lamb, You are Holy! Holy, are you Lord God Almighty.
Worthy is the Lamb, Worthy is the Lamb, Amen.

*HOLY GOSPEL Matthew 13:44-52
The Holy Gospel according to Saint Matthew, the thirteenth chapter. Glory to You, O Lord. 44 “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, that
a person found and hid. Then because of joy he went and sold all
that he had and bought that field. 45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for
fine pearls. 46 When he found a pearl of great value, he went out
and sold everything he had and bought it. 47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the
sea that caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was full, they pulled it
ashore, sat down, and put the good fish into containers and threw
the bad away. 49 It will be this way at the end of the age. Angels will
come and separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them
into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of
teeth. 51 “Have you understood all these things?” They replied, “Yes.” 52 Then he said to them, “Therefore every expert in the law who has
been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house
who brings out of his treasure what is new and old.”
The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to You, O Christ.
CHILDREN’S MESSAGE MESSAGE Lyle Heggemeier *THE APOSTLES’ CREED I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. MUSICAL OFFERING Worship the King arr. Jim Hammerly (Elizabeth Balentine, piano)

*WE ARE SENT WITH GOD’S BLESSING
*SENDING SONG BLESSED BE YOUR NAME Matt Redman
Blessed be your name in the land that is plentiful,
Where your streams of abundance flow, Blessed be your name.
Blessed be your name when I’m found in the desert place, Though I walk through the wilderness,
Blessed be your name.
Ev’ry blessing you pour out I’ll turn back to praise. When the darkness closes in, Lord, Still I will say,
“Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be your name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be your glorious name.”
Blessed be your name when the sun’s shining down on me, When the world’s “all as it should be.”
Blessed be your name.
Blessed be your name on the road marked with suffering, Though there’s pain in the offering,
Blessed be your name.
Ev’ry blessing you pour out I’ll turn back to praise. When the darkness closes in, Lord, Still I will say,
“Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be your name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be your glorious name.”
You give and take away, You give and take away
And forever I will say, Blessed be your name. You give and take away, You give and take away
And forever I will say, Blessed be your name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be your glorious name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be your name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be your glorious name.

"Dispensing Grace: How Can We Do It?" is the title of today's Adult
Bible Class led by Lyle Heggemeier via Zoom. Lyle leads this class with
video from Philip Yancey. Please email Carol Keeler at
[email protected] if you would like a link to the class.
In-House Worship Has Returned
To help keep our worshipers safe by following government mandates,
we are limiting the number of people in each worship service. So we
are asking for everyone who wants to worship in-person to sign up for a
worship service. The following link has all of the information about
signing up to worship (plus our cleaning & safety protocols):
https://faithpenfield.org/resources/reopening.
• Please wear a face mask (nose covered and mask tucked under your chin) the entire time you are in the building, including when you are speaking and singing.
• Please sign up online or call Carol Keeler (381-3970) to reserve seats for a worship service. Worship signup for everyone begins 6 days prior to the worship date at the worship time.
• Sanctuary worshipers: please use the bathrooms near the FCCNS office. Auditorium worshipers: please use the bathrooms across from the main Church Office. Please note the “Occupied” and “Unoccupied” signs on all bathrooms. One person is allowed in each bathroom at one time.
• Bring your own bulletin. Please download the emailed bulletin to your phone or tablet, or bring your own printed copy. Please contact Carol Keeler if you would like a bulletin mailed to you.
Parents of young children:
Due to sanitation concerns, there will be no materials (coloring pages,
crayons, books, toys, etc.) during the services. Due to concerns about
social distancing and disinfecting, the nursery will also be closed, so
please bring your own materials and toys.
If you are worshipping in the sanctuary and your child needs a break
please use the area marked off in the concourse. If your child needs a
break and you are worshipping in the auditorium please use the
Community Room for your child’s break. Julie Heidman (our nursery
staff member) will be going back and forth between locations to answer
any questions you may have and to help encourage and facilitate social
distancing and disinfect surfaces, but this is not a “drop off” like the
nursery would be. Parents need to stay with their child(ren) during
their break. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate these
next steps together. We welcome any feedback and suggestions.
