VISIONThe Mines and Geosciences Bureau envisions a minerals industry that is notonly prosperous but also socially, economically and environmentallysustainable, with broad community and political support while positively andprogressively assisting in Government’s program on poverty alleviation andcontributing to the general economic wellbeing of the nation.
MGB also aims to be leading geosciences and georesources institution servingthe public and nation with scientific reliability.
ADHIKAINAng Kawanihan ng Pagmimina at Heosiyensya ay may adhikain na angindustriyang pagmimina ay hindi lamang maging masagana kundi ito aymanatili ring umaagapay sa lipunan, ekonomiya at kapaligiran, na maymalwakang suporta ng komunidad at politika habang positibo at tuloy-tuloyna tumutulong sa mga programang Pamahalaan sa pag-angat sa kahirapan atmakaambag sa pangkalahatang pag-unlad ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
Ang Kawanihan ay mayroon ding layunin maging pangunahing heosiyensiya atmaging linangan ng heolohiya na naglilingkod sa publiko at sa bansana maysiyentipikong sandigan.
MISSIONThe Mines and Geosciences Bureau, as steward of the country’s mineralresources, is committed to the promotion of the sustainable mineral resourcesdevelopment, aware of its contribution to the national economic growth andcountryside community development. It fully recognized that the developmentof a responsive policy framework in partnership with stakeholder to governmineral exploration, mining and investment decision, and an effectiveinstitution structure are fundamental requisites for the sustainable utilizationof the country’s mineral resources. It is adherent to the promotion ofgeological studies as an integral element of socio-economic development,environmental protection human safety Yet, It is sensitive to the knownenvironmental impacts of mining and the need for restoration andrehabilitation of thee-affected areas and the development and adoption ofenvironmental and geoscientific technologies.
PAKAYAng Kawanihan ng Pagmimina at Heosiyensya, tagapamahala ng yamangmineral ng bansa, ay pursigido na gumawa ng mga pamaraan tungo sapatuloy na pagtaguyod ng pagpapaunlad nang likas yaman mineral, batid andmaibibigay sa paglago ng pambansang ekonomiya at mg mga kanayunan. Itoay imbes na umuunawa na ang paghubog ng isang responsablengpagbalangkas ng patakaran, kaagapay ang mga iba’tibang sector upangpamahalaan ang paghahanap ng mina, pamumuhunan sa mina at epektibongpangangsiwa sa pagmina, ang mga pangnunahing kailanagn tungo sa patuloyna pakikinabang sa yamang mineral ng bansa. Ito at tumutogon sapagpapalawig ng mga pag-aaral sa heolohika bilang bahaging elemento sapaglinang ng sosyo-ekonomikal, pangangalaga sa kapaligiran at angkapakanan o kaligtasan ng mamamayan. Ganun pa man, ito ay sensitibo samga epekto ng pagmimina sa kapaligiran at ang pangangailangan maibalik atmaisaayos ang mga lugar na naapektuhan ng pagmimina at ang papaunlad atpaggamit ng pangkapaligiran at heolohiyang teknolohiya.
