The keyboard we use in the US is called the QWERTY because of the first six letters that are on the top left of the keyboard.
People who are good typist, don’t look at the keyboard when they type, they look at the monitor.

Space bar
The home row is the middle row of letters and it has two touch keys. Find the touch keys.
The touch keys have a little groove that you can feel.
The touch keys let you know which hand you should be typing your letters with.
F is the touch key for the left side.
J is the touch key for the right side.
Let’s start with the left hand. First place your pinky finger on the A
button. Then put the next finger on the s button,
then another finger on the d button and the last finger on the f button.
Your thumb should be on the space bar.
First place your pinky finger on the button with the semi-colon on it.
Then put the next finger on the l button. Then put the middle finger on the k and the last finger on the letter j.
