The approximate 177 acre Rainbow Protea Farm is located in the North San Diego community of Rainbow near the communities of Fallbrook and Temecula, California. This area is well known for its many farms, public and private golf courses, estate homes, casinos with easy access to Interstate 15, San Diego and Los Angeles. Rainbow Hill Protea Farm was founded in 1984 and currently has approximately 45,000 plants on approximately 75 planted acres. The farm purchases many plants from South Africa and propagates plants on site. The owners market their cut flowers to approximately 100 wholesale accounts around theUSA and Canada. There is a packing plant with walk-in cooler, offices and an apartment for the farm manager. A Rainbow Municipal Water District 2” water meter provides water for the entire farm. Electricity is provided by San Diego Gas and Electric Company.
The asking price for the approximate 177 acres is $4,250,000, or $24,012 per acre which includes all equipment, vehicles, water meters, irrigation system, ongoing business with customer base and all real property including packing plant, roads, pond area and all plants.
