10K PI10KV Diagnostic Insulation Tester
Model 10K PI is a diagnostic insulation tester having test voltage range upto 10KV; an Indigenous MOTWANE designed to conduct automatic diagnostic tests on high voltage equipments like Transformers, Cables, Bushings, Switchgears & rotating machines. 10K PI is microprocessor based instrument deploying latest technology & very high speed data sampling to give correct, repetitive readings & quality performance under harsh electrical conditions. It has wide insulation resistance range up to 20T ohm.
Model 10 KPI is mains and battery operated portable & compact insulation tester for outdoor applications. The battery backup of 6 hours make it suitable for field operations. IP54 rating keeps 10K PI safe from water & dust ingress. It complies with CAT IV 600V for safe operation. The instruments & its accessories are certified as per relevant IS/IEC standard.
The Information displayed on large backlit LCD display includes insulation resistance, leakage current, capacitance, battery status & timer. Three programmable timers are provided to conduct various tests like Polarization Index (PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), Dielectric Discharge (DD), Step Voltage (SV), & breakdown Voltage (BDV) test. 10K PI can store 1000 test results. PC interface via USB & RS232 for data transfer. The software for report generation & data trending analysis helps to keep records of capital equipments.

Automatic IR (or Leakage Current) Test:
In the 5KPI test voltage and test duration are selectable. The IR values/ Leakage Current values are shown during the selected test duration. At the end of the test, scrolled display of IR, leakage current and capacitance is available on the LCD.
Auto Discharge Facility:
After each test, the 5K PI automatically discharges the test voltage available on the test object. An audible buzzer warns the operator for safety against shock hazards during discharging
Step Voltage Test (SV):
Step voltage test is recommended for large AC rotating machines. The test voltage is applied in steps for a constant duration of time. The SV test helps in assessing the level of micro cracks and holes present in the insulation.Break Down Voltage Test (BDV):
BDV test helps us in knowing the withstand capability of the insulation.
Self Calibration Check:

The Motwane make XWRM-10 is a dual channel 10A rated, Transformer Winding Resistance Meter designed and developed after extensive research on challenges and requirements of testing of various Transformer winding resistance. The instrument has One Current channel and two Resistance Channels. The instrument provides a large open circuit voltage of 42Volts, for fast charging of the highly inductive windings of transformers, to provide stable resistance values in minimum time. The XWRM-10 is intended to replace complex bridge set up with a single compact instrument.
The instrument is well protected against inductive kickbacks offered by inductive windings.
XWRM-10 has a special feature to conduct heat run test on transformers. Two channels are provided to measure winding resistance of primary and secondary side of two winding transformers simultaneously, which are required to take fast readings during heat run test. The periodic samples of readings of both channels are stored in a special memory which can be uploaded to a PC. The Windows based software is provided with the instrument for calculations of the temperature rise in windings from the recorded resistance values. The software can also be used for data management, graph plotting, analysis and report generation. The instrument can be operated through software. XWRM-10 has another feature of detecting open OLTC conditions, thereby indicating the healthiness of OLTC. The winding are automatically discharged after the test, for the safety of the operator.
The XWRM-10 is user friendly and easy to operate. The test information is displayed along with real time data on large LCD display with backlit during TEST ON condition.

The Motwane has introduced Transformer Turns Ratio Meter XTRM-3, a new generation of fully automatic ratio testers. XTRM-3 measures the transformation ratio of single phase and three phase transformers using modern electronic techniques. This replaces the Ratio testers using ‘current balancing bridge’ circuits, requiring manual ‘null’ balancing. XTRM-3 incorporates breakthrough technology and design that gives accurate and reliable results repeatedly. It is micro controller operated user friendly and reliable tester. XTRM-3 incorporates a large LCD screen for display of menu and results. The entire test is done automatically and quickly. Operator enters the test parameters and XTRM-3 takes over, applies the test voltage, balances the bridge, takes the readings, and displays the results on the LCD screen. The results can be printed on built in printer after the test is over. The windows based software is provided for easy operations of the Turn Ratio Meter via USB communication port.
The automatic detection of transformer vector group is a key feature of the XTRM-3. LV and HV windings are automatically isolated after the measurement is over. The XTRM-3 is a single unit design, encased in an hard industrial cabinet, lightweight (only 10 kg), achieving portability.

Floating DC systems are the back bone of any substation.Maloperation of DC system / non-availability of sound DC system can lead to very big catastrophe in the substation. And hence it is a necessity that the floating DC systems in the substation should be free from any faults. The DC Ground Locator MGFL helps substation engineers in locating, tracing, pinpointing DC Ground Faults in any floating DC system up to 300V DC in ONLINE condition. The instrument balance the capacitance of DC system automatically and is fully automatic to detect any faults. The instrument incorporates advanced signal processing to eliminate noise in the DC system and is very sensitive to any ground faults. It also helps in tracking mixing of source in dual battery system.
The MGFL is a portable light weight instrument used to locate ground fault in DC systems. It consists of a transmitter and Receiver. The transmitter is connected to live / non-live floating system up to 300V DC preferably on the DC bus. It then transmits low frequency and low voltage signal in the DC system without affecting the sensitive operation of relays. The transmitted signal is then tracked by receiver to locate the fault feeder and to track it further up to the point of fault. The instrument is fully automatic and detect earth faults / mixing of source at ease.

Technical Specifications
The MLCM is light weight, cost effective, portable and handy to monitor the healthiness of Lightening Arrester. It measures the fundamental and third harmonic leakage current down to micro ampere. MLCM makes it easy for maintenance crew to check and monitor in-service Lightning arresters in a periodic manner and ascertain their healthiness. When LA's deteriorate, the third harmonic leakage current also increases which provides a clear indication for maintenance crew to take immediate action. As per IEC60099-5 B1 method, third harmonic @ 20 degree is resistive and directly co-relate to healthiness of LA. The MLCM is also provided with android app to enable the user to get the report in mobile without the need of kit or laptop to see and analyse data.
Lightening arresters protect your valuable assets from transients and lightening strikes. Even though they are not very costly device, their maintenance is very critical of the view that they protect your costly assets. It is a necessity that these LA's are periodically monitored to ensure all the costly assets are protected always. There are many methods as per IEC 60099-5 to monitor the LA's. Out of which, it is very simple and easier to monitor the in-service Lightning arrester without dismantling it by measuring the 3rd harmonic leakage current. Can combined with multiplexer system for continuous monitoring of a number of surge arresters in a substation

The Motwane Hi-Pot tester HVT series offer wide range of test voltages to determine the withstand capacity of electrical insulation for the normally occurring over voltage transient’s .This series has models which can generate both AC & DC Voltages to eliminate need of two separate kits. The manual / motorized controlled operation provides continuous variable output voltage. The Kits are provided with selectable tripping current to identify breakdown voltage of different test objects. The timer is useful to set duration of test period. HV indication & overload protection provided for safety of operator & Kit.
The MOT-HVT is used to verify quality of insulation between any equipments current carrying components & its enclosure or insulation. The high voltage is applied to insulation of equipment under test, as defined as per voltage rating of equipment. The resulting leakage current flowing through its insulation is measured. The set will give trip command if exceeded than its predefined value.

The High Voltage Detector is a SAFETY DEVICE used to verify that the overhead line is not LIVE prior to earthing. It is suitable for 11 KV/ 33 KV / 132 KV / 220 KV/ 440 KV supply lines.
