EDUCATIONAL AIMS PER LEVEL
The main objectives of elementary education are : To provide knowledge and develop the skills, attitudes and values
essential to the children’s personal development necessary for living in and contributing to a developing and changing social milieu;
To provide learning experiences aimed at increasing the children’s awareness of and responsiveness to the demands of the society and to prepare them for constructive and affective involvement;
PRIMARY EDUCATION
To promote and intensify children’s knowledge of, identification with, and love for the nation and people which they belong and;
To promote work experiences aimed at developing and enhancing the children’s orientation to the world of work and creativity and to prepare them for an honest and gainful work.
SECONDARY EDUCATION
Secondary education is a continuation of basic education provided at the first level. It is expanded to include learning (general education) and training in basic employable skills (vocational/technical education).
TERTIARY EDUCATION
Tertiary education provides prescribed courses of studies which are credited towards degrees in academic disciplines or professions.
VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL EDUCATION
Vocational and technical education covers courses which include formal school work in the field of specialization and related academic subjects.
