Cadi Belford’s first Sunday to
serve as acolyte was April 13.
Max was the helpful big brother,
and Cadi did an excellent job.
Congratulations go to John and Bea Withering-
ton on their recent wedding.
Bernie Harris is the newest
member of the Linden United
Methodist Church. Welcome,
Bernie!
April food pantry volunteers Sue
Hill, Nancy Belford, Karoyn Stilwell,
Pastor James McMillan, and Kay
Stephens were delighted to have
help from Cadi Belford for 2 days.
Cissi Lanier (above), Nancy Belford
(right), Stella Ellington, Marilyn Bar-
rett, and Marie Knight (below) were
dressed up with lovely Easter hats.
At the April 6 worship service, Dr.
Bruce LeGrow beautifully sang
“He Laid His Hand on Me”. Paula
Fitts and the choir accompanied
Dr. LeGrow.
Megan Milloway,
Paula Fitts, and
Christina Belford
had fun at their
school’s Relay for
Life.

Mary Jane Ellinger, Cadi Belford, and
Max Belford proudly display the Sunday
School attendance traveling trophy
which they won for the last quarter.
The Fun Bunch members thank Lee Ann Ross and John
Fant for furnishing a great picnic for their April meeting.
The event was held at the pavilion in the Linden City Park.
Fun Bunch picnickers (back row) were Michael Suel, Buster Kurtz,
Eldie Smith, Marie Knight, Betty Hetherington, Lee Ann Ross, Jo Mil-
ler, John Fant; (front row) Anita Suel, LaWanda Suel, Ruby Dowd,
Karoyn Stilwell, Mary Jane Ellinger, Marilyn Barrett, Stella Ellington,
Cissi Lanier, and Virginia Boney.
LUMC members volunteering at the Linden Wildflowers Festival included Marie Knight, in the GSMC Auxiliary
booth, Stella Ellington in the Linden Garden Club’s Flower Show, and Kaylin Kluge, Megan Milloway, and De-
siree McDuffie at the LUMC Youth’s bounce house.
Opie Gaskin and Barbara McMillon did not jump in the bounce house; neither did Bernie and Bruce Harris; but
all enjoyed the Linden Wildflowers Festival. Nancy Belford, Christina Belford, Sharon McMillan, and Pastor James
McMillan worked at the bounce house.
Billie Ruth Hankins helped with the Linden Wild-
flowers Festival Art Show. She is standing near
one of Dana McDuffie’s award-winning photos.
Glenn Lanier was busy around the courthouse square
all day of the Linden Wildflowers Festival.
Belford family members are busy with LYAA ballgames. Cadi plays for the Long-
horns, Christina for the Fusion, and Max for the Dodgers. Parents Chad and
Beth, along with Grandma Nancy, attend games several nights each week to
keep up with the young Belfords.
Chuck Evans participated in the Mae Luster Stephens Junior High’s Relay for Life and helped with the concession
stand as well. He also assisted in the publication of their Cooking for a Cure cookbook. Teacher Paula Fitts was
in charge of the luminaria ceremony. She is pictured (above) with Annmarie Jones. In the pictures below, she
demonstrates “pretty hands, pretty feet” and poses with teacher Kendra Clayton.
