Shared Services Redesign From the State Budget Direction Encourage Shared Services to Reduce Non-Instructional Costs
Regional Shared Services Centers will be created by merging the various regional education service providers. These centers will be given the authority to work with local government entities as well as school district. A plan will be developed over the next year and the new system will be in place beginning July 1, 2012.

Custom Username/Password for INFOhio Benefit: More visible access on the Core Collection
page to additional resources (such as Discovery Portal and the online catalog), which will further promote the use of your library materials.
Benefit: Many school districts subscribe to additional resources with their own unique username password. Students may be more apt to use both the INFOhio and district resources if a familiar username and password is available.

Discussion on putting the custom u/p into practice:
Scenario 1: If the computers do NOT allow cookies, or if those cookies are wiped out on a regular basis, then it will be a training issue. You should direct students to click the link on the Core Collection page that reads "Have a school login? Sign in here" each time they access the Core Collection page.
Scenario 2: If your computers allow cookies and if those cookies are NOT auto-deleted on a regular basis, then the custom u/p should only have to be entered once a year. (Once the cookie is placed on the computer, it is set to expire in 365 days.) In this case, consider taking a few minutes and on each computer, navigate to the Core Collection page, click the "Have a school login? Sign in here" link, and enter the custom u/p. The alternative is to have the first couple of classes perform these steps.
INFOhio Updates
Students should use the custom u/p from home. To request a custom username/password:

Reminder if you have *not* requested a custom u/p and if you are prompted for a u/p at school, provide LNOCA with your IP Address Range(s).

OH: Monthly Circ Count report (statsfulltotal / ITC Custom Tab)
This report was broken with last summer’s upgrade and has since been fixed.
In the meantime, library staff were asked to use the LN: Circ Statistics report (itc10 / ITC Custom Tab).
INFOhio Updates
If library staff created report templates or scheduled reports based on the itc10 source, new reports will need to be created using the statsfulltotal source.
We will send a reminder with instructions to all library staff in mid-October and will remove access to the itc10 report over winter break. After that point, any reports created using the itc10 source will not function.
We will also identify library staff with reports that use the itc10 source and will alert them individually.

CAT: Reports for Consolidation will be covered at the November LLIS meeting.

Windows 7 Issues
If your computer was upgraded to Windows 7, you may not be able to use the Save As function after viewing a finished report formatted in Word. To work around this, open Word BEFORE viewing the report, or…
…use Run as Administrator (right click the Workflows icon) before starting WorkFlows.
