The Müller drum is the basic modulein an intelligent system: at the drop ofa hat a drum used for storage ortransportation becomes a processvessel meeting all the requirements ofa present-day production process. Toensure that your manufacturingprocess proceeds smoothly, the Müllersystem enables you to add items suchas hoppers, dryer inserts, dischargeaids, mixing hoods or sieves. It is alsocompatible with all process-relevantinterfaces: drum docking, dust-free fill-ing, handling equipment and emptyingat the production unit.
All components are harmonized witheach other in a modular system andare interchangeable. And, because theMüller system is so flexible, the drumfilling quantities or storage volumescan be adapted to suit your individualmanufacturing needs. This means that differing flow, mixing or chemicalproperties do not necessitate usingdozens of different containers, butonly the right combination of systemmodules. Simple and effective handling – the Müller special drumlid with its filling nozzle forms a closed system for reliabledust-free drum filling.

Volume takes up space – and space costs money.Nestable tapered drums save space. They stack togethersnugly, reducing your space requirements by two-thirds,from the second drum onwards.Highly practical, highly cost-effective, highly recommended.
Components designed for accurate interchangeabilityconvert the drum into a process vessel – for example theMüller dryer insert for granular products and tablets.

Double-walled drums for maintaining the contents at adesired temperature – smooth inner wall, outer wall with aspiral channel so that the cooling or heating medium always finds its way.
Empty space in a drum has obvious disadvantages –bulky shipping and warehousing volumes also cost money.The Müller mixing hood, attached to the drum by clampingring, provides the required freeboard space only when it is needed, not before.
Müller drums are designed for a range of ambient condi-tions – and at the same time they adapt to varying processconditions. Liquids can also be discharged reliably andcompletely under pressure – no problem with the Müllerriser-tube lid.
Müller is good in a tight spot – the user-friendly side outletguarantees complete drum emptying even under low headroom conditions. The type and size of the side outletcan be selected at will.

Many processes involve liquids suchas acids and alkalis and other hazardous substances, or high purityor toxic media. And they must often be warehoused or shipped underextreme conditions such as high pressures or temperatures. In contrast,the pharmaceutical industry specificallycalls for hygienic design of product-contacted hardware. Drums withbungs must be appropriately designedand constructed particularly safely tomeet these challenging conditions.

Ingenious operating principle –the inverting frame can get to grips even with tapered andsmooth-walled drums. It is welded directly to the hopper.
No problem even if your drum has an internal liner.The plastic bag is held in place by a retaining rod and cannot give you the slip.
At home in its nest – the drum is always the focal point. The nest automatically centers and securely supports thedrum – together with its hopper – in the right position.
Asymmetrical hoppers urge even bad flowing products to get a move on.

With the Müller system silos can beused equally well for warehousing andtransportation as for blending, filling,charging and discharging duties. Theirmain attraction, however, is their rangeof capacities from 5 to 1200 liters. Thismakes them highly versatile units forliquids, powders or paste-like media,suitable for tasks from laboratory scaleright up to large batch manufacturing.Silos can be cleaned quickly and easilythrough their large openings.
In the Müller system these silos can becombined with all other modules, suchas appropriately sized carriages oncastors and mating components. Thisenables a single silo to be used cost-effectively: as collecting drum, feedtank or mixing vessel.

Müller silos play a cost-effective role in those operations where it is notpractical or desirable to invert theproduct container. A typical applicationis when feeding a production linethrough an opening in the floor above.The open head of the silo makescleaning it no problem before returningit for refilling.
Various discharge cones are availableto suit the flow properties of the medium: 60° or 90° symmetric orasymmetric cones.

Mobile at all times – the silo in its highly practical wheeledcarriage, also available with electrically conducting castors.Depending on the process concerned, the hopper bin either rests on the support pads or is permanently welded to the carriage.
Filling between the floors – the silo is simply moved overthe opening in the upper floor and docked onto the fall tube. Its contents can then be directly discharged into themachine on the floor below.
Silo with filling nozzle in the lid – for a simple dust-free filling operation. Trunnions are provided on the body of thebin for lifting by crane or in a Müller yoke.
Pneumatic filling – this silo is filled through a vacuum conveying line. An air filter is mounted on the silo lid by aclamping ring.

Drum trucks are indispensable in everymanufacturing operation where drumscontinually need to be transported.They make drums mobile and operat-ing procedures flexible. Drum trucksenable operators to move drums safelyand easily to every location where theyare needed. Müller drum trucks areavailable in two basic forms: the rec-tangular type with a waist-level handlefor drums of various diameters or forsmall squat drums, and a round typefitting a particular diameter of drum.

Müller drum trucks are fabricatedthroughout in AISI 304 stainless steel.Not only does this rugged constructiongive them a long service life, but italso makes cleaning easy. The nylonwheels and castors have stainlesssteel housings. For some duties
electrically conducting wheels canalso be supplied for compliance withATEX Zones 0 and 20.Drum trucks can carry loads up to 300 kg, and a carefully planned rangeof accessories caters for all conceivable duties.

Individual mobility – for special applications the castorscan also be attached to the drum directly.
Like pushing a shopping cart – the waist-level handlemakes it easy to position the drum under the filling tube.
Extremely flexible – the drum truck version with clampingring is securely fixed to the drum, but can be detachedwhenever necessary.
