Doorway to Hope at the Gateway to the West

We will be serving dinner at the Union Rescue Mission Monday, August 26, at 5 p.m. If you want to carpool, meet at the church at 4:30 p.m.

We encourage you to spend at least 24 minutes in prayer for the church, our nation, our political leaders, and troops. 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

The Nursery/Toddler/ Preschool department is looking for teachers and

“Winter Blues” Gathering

Men’s Group

Wednesday - March 18, 6:30 p.m.

Forged By Fire is a Men’s Group that meets once a month and is open to men of all ages. Currently, the group is taking part in the video series “Why I Still Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist.” This series is excellent in helping men walk out their faith.

A trip to Sight and Sound is being planned for November 7, 2020 to seethe play Queen Esther. Cost: $145 for adults and $90 for children age 3-12. A payment plan is available. Contact Chris Robertson at 301-689-0448.

VBS - June 24 - 26 Save the Date!The VBS team is selling Marianna’ssubs for $8 and pizzas for $10. Theproceeds will be used for the Friday night VBS carnival. Money is due Sunday, March 15.

Sunday Morning Message

From March 22 - April 11, we will take part in a 21 day prayer and fasting campaign. Next Sunday, you will receive a prayer guide designed to help you during this dedicated time. Some may be limited because of medicine and medical issues. but the idea is to do what you can for as long as you can for those 21 days. Plan now to involve yourself in this special time of prayer and spiritual growth!

Spring Home Groups will begin Sunday, April 5. We offer three groups which will run through May 31. Sign ups will begin next week. Home group leaders are Lori Brown, Vicki Hopkins, and Gene Nallin.
