On the 31st July 2010, for two weeks, 400 young international architects from over 40 countries worldwide will descend on Manchester for the 30th annual European Architecture Students Assembly.
In the footsteps of previous easa assemblies, easa010 will blend architectural innovation with the Mancunian spirit to bring something extraordinary to the people of Manchester and their city.
What is the european Architecture Students Assembly?
The assembly centres around workshops, producing work that investigates the host city. There will be world class lectures from leading names in the world of architecture, art & design, urbanism and more.
We are working closely with Manchester’s public authorities to bring easa010 to the people of the city. During the assembly, specially arranged events allow public access to the most inspiringby-students-for-students event of its kind and scale.
easa010 will culminate with a city wide exhibition in the public realm and leading galleries, of the outputs from the assembly workshops, including the public’s input.
For more information on easa010 and the history of the event, please visit our website www.easauk.net
easaUK2010 Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation.
How can you help us?
Our visiting architects will need materials to realise up to 30 workshops. These will come in various shapes and sizes, from big built structures, to research papers. Therefore we are collecting materials ranging from heavy construction material to stationary.
The chosen workshops will be revealed at our gallery on 19th February 2010 as part of ‘easa : an exhibition’ showcasing previous easa events and what is held in store for Manchester 2010.
Please see the final page for a list of materials we need to see if you can help. Thank You.
