Special Meeting of the
Finance Committee
Wednesday, May 27th (Zoom).
The Committee is facing the economic
impact of the Coronavirus on parish
giving and the draft of the parish
budget for 2020-2021.
We will continue to be a strong parish community and
together make the adjustments needed for the coming
months. St. John the Baptist, pray for us!
Pastoral Council Meeting
Next Week
Wednesday, June 3rd (Zoom)
The Council will be discussing the
current efforts to keep our parish “on track.” With limited
resources this coming year, we will talk about how best to
serve our parish family.

ALL ACTIVITES ARE CANCELLED THRU 6/26/20
.
Vacation Bible Camp is cancelled this summer
St. Patrick Gala, Outreach Fundraiser
Cancelled March 16th and moved to July 11th
As you have read in the bulletin, a survey was sent out to all families. All are concerned that it is too soon to schedule anything.
The bishop is permitting pastors to confirm when it can be scheduled. Again, this depends on the school reopening (an unknown) and how the churches can reopen (an unknown).
STATUS OF OUR PARISH DURING THE PANDEMIC AS OF MAY 28, 2020

Weddings: Weddings are now permitted with no more than 10 people in church (including priest, organist and singer). Holy communion is not distributed. Masks are required.
What about our Finances? The Finance Committee had a “Zoom” meeting on May 27th and has begun to look at the economic impact of the pandemic on the parish this fall and next year.
Preschool: We are currently working on refunding families for tuition that was paid in advance for April, May and June. Registration is ongoing.
We all realize that the situation is constantly changing.
Please continue to check the website for updates.
Please email Father Frank with your questions and concerns!

We would like to give a big thank you to the
many people like you
who are donating food items and monetary gifts.
You are helping serve the needy in our area!
Outreach staff Since most of our staff has been asked to stay at home, one staff member, that only worked one day per week, immediately stepped up and offered to come in both days to work the pantry. Not only working the pantry, but going to pick up extra food on days the pantry is not normally open so that we are ready for anyone who needs food. When we reach out and help others we are also helping ourselves to become better people, doing what Jesus would want us to do. When we all pull together, there is so much that we can accomplish.

The fruitful ministries at our parish are examples of how

call. To ensure such work can continue requires not only
gifts of time, but also of financial help. I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting
our parish with electronic donations through Faith Direct. You can find paper enroll-
ment forms in the parish office, or you can sign up online at www.faithdirect.net by
using our church code, NY67.
