Maya is a fast acting, highly active and crop safe formulation of bromoxynil for the effective control of broadleaved weeds in cereals. Maya is the perfect fit to replace Stellox and Oxytril CM which both contain ioxynil, an active soon to be lost under the European re-registration process.
Over dependence on ALS herbicides has resulted in target site resistance becoming an increasing problem in Mayweed, Chickweed and Poppy. Maya provides an alternative mode of action to other widely used broadleaved weed herbicides.
Maya can be mixed with phenoxies, sulfonylureas and other ALS acting herbicides. It has a unique weed control spectrum, boosting control of ALS resistant weeds and filling in many of the weaknesses of other herbicides, such as sulfonylureas.
Maya is a fast acting contact herbicide. This weed was killed two weeks after treatment. Maya works best on weeds at the seedling stage.
• Unique high performance SC formulation of bromoxynil offering excellent tank-mix compatibility
• An alternative mode of action to ALS inhibitors making it a useful product for broadleaved weed resistance management
• Ideal mixing partner for phenoxies and other herbicides to extend spectrum and improve control
• Controls Polygonums and Fat hen which are weaknesses for many SU herbicides
• Flexible timing, two leaves to second node detectable• Good crop safety• Cereal and linseed recommendation
Improved delivery of active for greater efficacy
Bromoxynil is a smaller molecule compared to ioxynil so can penetrate the plant more effectively to interfere with the weed’s physiology.

The weed control spectrum of Maya is similar to ioxynil but there are some subtle differences. Maya gives better control of Polygonums, Bindweed, Mayweed, Poppy, Nettle, Volunteer oilseed rape and Volunteer beans than ioxynil.

Cereal weeds
Maya is safe to use on linseed before the crop is 15cm tall.Maya is particularly good for controlling Fat hen which is not well controlled by most other actives in this crop.
