Access to a sufficient supply of diapers is essentialfor the health of Central Ohio's infants, and thequality of life of our community, but too manyindividuals don’t have the resources to adequatelyprovide for this basic need.
As long as poverty exists, children in our communitywill need diapers. The need is already great… and it’sgrowing: just this past year, those living below thepoverty line in Central Ohio grew by 27%meaning that 1 in 4 children are born into povertyannually.
Resources for free or discounted diapers are few.Food Stamps cannot be used to purchase diapers,and diaper manufacturers don't donate diapers, evento crisis nurseries and shelters.
