I am pleased to report yet another strong year for this increasingly popular programme, with 96% of our Masters in Management (MiM) 2013 class accepting employment three months post-graduation.
The MiM2013 class is our largest class to date, comprising 160 students from 42 different nations – individually diverse, but united by a world-class London education. This course continues to attract students who represent the finest of the graduate market.
This year we have seen a seven percentage point increase in students accepting roles within the Finance sector. We have also seen a further four percentage point increase in students accepting roles in the Consumer Products sector.
Highlights for the MiM2013 class were undoubtedly the Global Immersion Field Trips. These took our students to Paris (with a focus on Luxury Goods), Brussels (Business and Government), Madrid (Entrepreneurship) and Stockholm (Leadership, Culture and Change).
The success of these development trips has led us to introduce a Shanghai trip for next year’s 2014 class, focusing on Business and Finance in China, further reflecting our presence in international markets.Back in the UK, during Business Immersion Week the class visited 26 companies across London in four days, including organisations like Blackstone, Google, Universal Music, CNN, Accenture and Coller Capital, before presenting their findings to faculty, senior executives and Sloan Fellows.
In a competitive job market it is important for our MiM graduates to stand out from the crowd, and these kind of immersive experiences play an invaluable role in enabling our graduates to solidify their own career ambitions. We continue to work in close partnership with employers and our alumni to ensure our MiM graduates leave with the key leadership skills, business knowledge and global perspectives really needed within organisations today.
I hope you find this Employment Report of interest. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our employers for their continued support and I look forward to our continued collaboration in 2014.
“I am pleased to report yet another strong year for this increasinglypopular programme.”Fiona SandfordExecutive Director Careers and Global Business
