The Town of Huntsville is a scenic tourist based community located inMuskoka cottage country. With a population approaching 20,000, it is thelargest community in the District of Muskoka and is fashioned as avibrant and dynamic destination to live, work and play.
The Budget and Financial Planning Officer/Deputy Treasurer is respon-sible for developing and managing long and short range capital anddepartment budgets and provide financial planning for the Corporation inaccordance with the policies, procedures, directions and regulations inorder to provide effective planning, control and reporting for theCorporation. Including assisting the Treasurer in financial functions.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the supervision, coordination andpreparation of the annual operating budget. This function includes longrange financial planning, providing training and assistance to staff/depart-ments in development and analysis of budget estimate forecasts as wellas provide Treasury functions in the capacity of Deputy Treasurer. Theincumbent will ensure daily activities and transactions are in accordancewith adopted budgets and will review departmental operating results initi-ating reports and making recommendations as necessary.
In addition, this position is also responsible for monthly and quarterlyfinancial reports, year end reporting, financial information returns, munic-ipal performance measurement reporting, capital asset managementreporting as well as other special projects.
Qualifications: C.G.A, C.M.A. designation or suitable equivalent educa-tion. The applicant should have a minimum of five (5) years budgetingexperience in a municipal setting with a working knowledge of theProvincial and Municipal Statutes. Municipal auditing experience wouldbe an asset. The applicant should have a thorough knowledge of budg-eting processes and techniques, financial analysis and costing withexcellent analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and communicationskills. Also required is a good working knowledge of Microsoft Officeapplications. Knowledge of Vailtech, Vadim or Diamond financial sys-tems would be an asset.

full-time one-year Maternity Leave term in our composing department.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Include:1. Layout and design advertisements, special publications and internal promotion pieces.
2. Compress and transmit artwork and advertisements for combination ads over a WAN (VPN), LAN and FTP.
3. Follow hand sketched or written descriptions to create ads and to modify existing ads ensuring completeness and accu-racy before returning to salesperson for final approval.
4. Inspect and proof ads created outside of the newspaper for completeness (i.e. on disks), to ensure they meet techni-cal requirements, and to convert to a PDF format that meets technical requirements.
5. Scan ad hardcopies into the computer systems and ensure that the ad is complete and meets technical requirements.
6. Manipulate photographs with software (i.e. close crop) as required.
7. Retrieve old ads from various mediums and modify as required.
8. Must be team-oriented, creative and comfortable in a fast-paced and high stress environment.
9. Must be familiar with Mac operating system, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat.
Required Education / ExperienceDegree / diploma in Graphic Design (or related field) and/or experience in relevant software required. Portfolio an asset.
