Shares are down 50%. The BlackBerry PlayBook is raising little enthusiasm. Sales forecasts for the tablet have beenhalved for the second quarter of 2011. RIM will not have new models of BlackBerry on the market before the end ofthe summer, unlike Apple, which will launch a new iPhone. And 200 employees at RIM’s headquarters in Waterloo,Ont., are being laid o.

mous with “business” through its unique securitysystem which is almost impossible to hack.
