My Leadership JourneyKalley Keenan
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection
ofchildren; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure thebetrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthychild, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you
havelived. This is to have succeeded. -Ralph Waldo

What is leadership? 1/22/10A leader is someone who sees their own
strengths and accepts their weaknesses. They build upon their strengths to encourage, engage and delegate. By nature, leaders are excellent problem solvers, see the big picture and are good communicators.
My StrengthsEmpathy- instinctively understand how to make others feel
good; giver, not a taker; people often feel comfortable sharing their innermost thoughts and feelings ; can sense moods
Developer- put aside own interests to serve others; regard trait this as a gift; discourage stereotypes & oversimplification; satisfaction; groups and youth
Positivity-help people fit into groups; see the best in others; enjoy the rush of adrenaline that accompanies risky deeds or decisions; look forward to social events
Input- reader; investigative mind; converse with others about ideas, theories and concepts to gather the latest thinking; ask questions; genuine interest in what others say
Learner- strive to do things better in the future; logical perspective; experience is the best teacher; love to acquire additional knowledge; “need to know” is rarely satisfied; prefer to be bombarded with facts, data, or explanations
I don’t know where I’m going,
but that’s the beauty of it.
