THE IMPORTANCE OF PERSONAL TRAINING
UNHEALTHY & SEDENTARY POPULATION
Heart disease, obesity, diabetes and dozens of other health and fitness afflictions are skyrocketing; most of which can be prevented, controlled, or even eliminated by a simple prescription of diet and exercise.
INCREASED CHRONIC CONDITIONS
People move less than ever before, often spending the majority of their days sitting.
Low back pain is a leading cause in musculoskeletal dysfunction and it affects over 80% of adults.
INCREASED CHRONIC CONDITIONS
Over 70% of annual ACL injuries are attributed to non-contact injuries.
These injuries have a higher correlation to developing arthritis within the knee.
• Almost 1/3 of the U.S. population of adults are obese, and about 60% are overweight. This is contributing to the dramatic rise of health care costs for both individuals and employers
• Approximately 20 million people are afflicted with Type 2 diabetes, a 50% increase in the last 10 years
OBESITY IN AMERICA
According to a 2010 estimate, obesity-related medical care in America costs.

OBESITY: YOUTH POPULATION
Unfortunately, a record
number of children and
adolescents in the United
States are overweight or
obese as well, which often
leads to obesity in
adulthood.
OBESITY: YOUTH POPULATION
These numbers are staggering
in relation to the 4% and 6.1%
of children and adolescents,
respectively, who were obese
in the 1971 to 1974 NHANES
data set.
OBESITY: YOUTH POPULATION
Data from the National Health and
Nutrition Examination Survey
(NHANES) conducted from 2007 to
2008 indicates that 19.6% of
children and 18.1% of adolescents
were obese at that time.
