MARINE TEChNOLOGYTurn your experience and love of adventure and action into a profitable career with a Professional Certificate in Marine Technology. Through a balance of lecture and hands-on courses, you’ll develop the skills and experience needed in commercial diving, with programs covering marine technology, commercial diving, dive medicine, and underwater nondestructive testing and wet welding.
PrOfeSSIONAl cerTIfIcATe IN mArINe TechNOlOGy
nUPI’s Professional Certificate in Marine Technology provides you with the skills and training you need to enter the diverse field of commercial diving. The program includes immersion into surface supply and SCUBA diving, in addition to underwater work skills, safety, and other knowledge to become a professional commercial diver, which gives you the basic skills you need for surface supplied air diving and prepares you for further study. Marine Technology II
comes next, improving your skills with 20 weeks of study in one of two concentrations that offer advance training for the major employment areas of commercial diving. Available concentrations include:
dIVer medIc—DIvInG AnD hYPeRBARIC MeDICIne
The MedTech concentration prepares students in the medical aspects of diving and advanced training in hyperbaric medicine. Graduates gain certification as an Advanced Diving Medical Technician, qualified for work as a “tender” or diver medic on inland and offshore job sites. This concentration also qualifies you to take the emergency Medical Technician – Basic (eMT-B) exam.
UNderwATer INSPecTION TechNOlOGy—nOnDeSTRUCTIve TeSTInG
The nondestructive Testing concentration prepares you to conduct a number of advanced underwater inspection and testing techniques important for insuring the quality of underwater construction. You’ll be trained to American Society for nondestructive Testing (AnST) Level 1 and Level II standards in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) and visual Testing (vT).

nUhvS helps students achieve academic excellence by offering courses that provide an active, engaging and cooperative learning experience. Choose from more than 90 online courses that are available in a variety of high school core subject, elective, and Advanced Placement courses. At nUvhS, students can complete a full semester of
a high school course in as few as four or as many as 16 weeks on a full or part-time basis allowing students to improve their grade point average or earn additional credit towards high school graduation or college readiness.
The school features a college preparatory-level curriculum and offers many of the same classes students find in their public or private high school as well as courses that may not be offered within their school districts. All coursework meets or exceeds California and national standards. each nUvhS course covers a typical semester’s worth of material, and students can start both first and second semester courses at any time during the year.
Core courses offered by nUvhS are approved for certification by the
national Collegiate Athletic Association (nCAA), and all nUvhS Advanced Placement courses have been authorized by the College Board. The school also has “online provider status” through the University of California and multiple courses are approved as meeting the UC “a-g” requirements.
nUvhS strives to make your quality education as affordable as possible and offers scholarships in math, science and some elective areas. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), so colleges will know that you’ve received a quality education at nUvhS.

Translate your passion for golf into real-world practical skills! The national University Golf Academy is an innovative golf education program that combines golf and an academic curriculum at associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s levels.
national University provides the college-level courses of the Golf Academy, which offers two certificates among a slate of programs designed to develop students’ professional credentials in the golf industry.
The Associate of Arts degree with a Concentration in Professional Golf Management prepares students to enter the field of golf course management and provides a fundamental understanding of the skills necessary for entry-level positions in the golf industry. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Sport Psychology, the Bachelor of
Business Administration, or the Master of Business Administration degrees at national University qualify for the Golf Academy curriculum, which includes innovative academic delivery systems and player development programs for an exciting learner-centered experience.
The national University Golf Academy offers a choice of an on-course and online hybrid golf program or a 100 percent online option if you are unable to travel to San Diego or fresno golf courses for the on-course component of your golf education.
