Using wikis. Writing for Wikipedia
Learning Technologies for the Classroom
• Wikis allow documents to be written collaboratively
• Usually readers of the site can edit the content making changes to what has previously been written by other readers.
• You can see a history of changes made to the content and revert back to earlier versions if this is needed, for example, to remove mistakes.
• Through settings you can allow any reader to edit content or only registered users. You can even hide the site so that it can only be seen by them as well.

1 Wikis are usually written by one person. 2 Wikis are always web based. 3 All readers of the site can edit the content, making changes to what has previously been written by other readers. 4 You can see a ‘history’ of changes made to the content and revert back to earlier versions. 5 t is not possible to protect a wiki from editing by people who are not invited.
1 Which tool is best for peer assessed work: blogs or wikis?
2 If a student can’t change content in a wiki; what might be the problem?
3 What are the main differences between a blog and a wiki?
