Since the beginning of the 20th century we at Gustafs have been a leading manufacturer of exclusive wooden interiors used mostly in public environments.

It is important for us to contribute to a more sustainable environment. We work therefore with an active environmental focus throughout our entire production process. Gustafs panels consist of 98% natural materials such as gypsum and wood.

The increasing demand for fire safety in buildings has nurtured the development of our product, which today can be found in interiors throughout Europe. Auditoria, schools, concert halls, hotel lobbies, and air port terminals are just some examples where the Gustafs Panel System® is applied in walls and ceilings.

The Capax® installation system offers a simple, efficient and reliable installation. This too, is well in line with today´s exacting demands in the building process.

The Factory is situated in Gustafs in the province of Dalarna, 200 km northwest of Stockholm.

ENVIRONMENT

Page 3: panouri GUSTAFS

Each veneer is chosen and inspected carefully before being approved.

Wood has a natural variation in structure and colour tone which ages in harmony with nature. The fact that wood is a natural material is an intrinsic aspect of its charm and attraction. Large areas permit a certain amount of varia-tion whereas smaller areas demand a more exacting match.

To widen our customers´ options we offer two choices of genuine veneer. Natural veneers have all the lively variations and character assoc i ated with each species whereas Gemini® veneers offer an even colour tone and structure to achieve a more harmonious appearance.

Prior to delivery the panels are given a resi-lient and attractive surface finish. The finish is determined by the customer from a choice of lacquered, oiled, stained, pigmented or painted surface.

Our lacquer is a 3-layer UV-cured process which is available in a range of gloss finishes. The lowest gloss gives the impression of a sub dued oiled surface whereas the highest reaches almost a mirror-like surface.

This brochure presents our standard selec-tion. It goes without saying that we do our utmost to fulfil requests for other veneers.

Design

Gustafs Panel System® offers many possibilities to create environments with the highest demands in design and appearance.

Fire

Gustafs panel system has a very high level of fire retardancy actively reducing the threat of fire spread and smoke development. The panels achieve the highest class for veneer surfaced material Euroclass K110/Bs1, d0.Painted surfaces can achieveEuroclass K110/A2s1, d0.

Acoustic

Gustafs panels create both acoustic and aesthetically appealing environments.

Installation

Capax installation system ensures the Gustafs panels are mounted efficiently and safely on both walls and ceilings

Birch, Beech, Oak or Ash. Each wood species has its own character. A wood´s colour and structure is a part of its natural charm. This is also the case with veneer. A variety of new effects can be achieved using various parts of the wood log. The wood log´s outer parts provide an even structure while the core-near parts are more lively and effectual.

Nature is our most commonly used veneer and achieves the natural wood feeling. As wood matures with time it adopts a patina, this too is the case with veneer. Variations in colour tone and structure is a part of woods appeal. Nature veneer is available in a wide variety of species and matures in colour tone with time. Most nature veneers can be purchased with FSC certification.

PIGMENTA pigment can be used to change the colour tone of the veneer. We have developed a four stage scale of white pigment for veneers. Since various species react differently to the process we recommend a consultation before procee-ding with surface finishing.

Gemini® is a dyed pattern coordinated wood veneer. It can be used in both small and large surface areas. The major advantage with Gemini® veneers is their colour and pattern consistency irrespective quantity. The veneers are less photosensitive and do not mature in the same way as natural veneers. The colour tone is therefore more stable over time. The collection consists of a number of chosen patterns which are inspired by their natural counterparts. The Gemini® collection even offers a selection of exotic wooden species patterns which have no negative environmental effect and come with FSC certification. Gemini® panels can be produced in lengths up to 2400mm.
