First Friday of every month: Mass at 7 pm followed by adoration until 12 midnight. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
Saturday from 4 pm to 4:45 pm or by appointment with a priest. THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Baptisms are usually scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 2:30 pm. A parent must come to the rectory to ar-range the Baptism and bring the following paperwork: BIRTH CERTIFICATE, WRITTEN RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE PARISH OF THE SPONSORS (Sponsors must have re-ceived their sacraments and, if married, married in the Catholic Church). If the parent is not registered in the parish, the parent must register and attend church for several weeks before a Bap-tism date is given. Parents must be registered members of the parish. A date for the Baptismal Instruction Class (usually the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:30 pm) will be given after all pa-perwork is presented at the rectory.

Couples planning to celebrate their marriage at St. Frances should make an appointment with a priest at least six months before their planned wedding date in order to begin their mar-riage preparation and reserve a date for the wedding.

This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and we begin the holy season of Lent ��� a personal and spiritual journey to the celebrations of Holy Week and Easter Sunday on April 1 ... for many in our society February 14 will be St. Valentine's Day but for us, Catholics, it is Ash Wednes-day ... we have prepared a special Lenten Brochure which lists the different religious activities here at St. Frances ... there will be available LITTLE BLACK BOOKS which have daily readings for Lent ... this Fri-day we begin with Stations of the Cross at 7 pm followed by a presentation on the first three Commandments ... the following Friday, February 23 there will be Stations at 7 pm and a presentation on the remaining 7 command-ments ... and finally on Friday, March 2 Stations at 7 pm with a presentation on the precepts of the church ... these interesting and fundamental presentations will be di-rected by one of our parishioners, Mrs. Theresa Falciano and she will be using an examination of conscience for her presentations and she will be guiding us to a decision to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance (Confession) ... many thanks to her ... it should be very interesting and a blessing ... something to do for Lent!!
