I remembered during class that Brother Pingel showed us how to make apicture similar to this and I wanted to create one for my own home. First I
found a picture of the temple that I liked, then I found images of textures thatI put on top of the image. I changed the opacity of the texture images, thenmasked the images so I could make the temple stand out more, while keepingthe sky darker. I then brought the image over to InDesign and created the text.

• Set up and align a two-sided, folded document.• Create an original, new logo and use it in a brochure.• Incorporate quality images. Incorporate at least four quality images, notincluding the logo. One should be clipped in Photoshop and text-wrapped inInDesign so the text follows the cutout shape of the image.• Write at least 250 words of original copy in at least three paragraphs, headers, and subheaders.• Trim for a full bleed and print in duplex (two-sided) color.
The rst thing I did was sketch out a couple of ideas. Then I created the logo, using Adobe Illustrator, and came up with the color scheme. Then I measuredout where the folds would be and inserted that into Adobe InDesign. Then Iadded pictures and the design elements that I used. First I made the designwithout text in it, using ller text instead. Then I created the body copy andput that into the project. I was able to achieve the text wrapping eect bycung out the object using Adobe Photoshop and applying the text wrap tothe text around the object.

• Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography.• Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic ier layout.• Retrieve image and logo from links on this page.• Create a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document to keep linksin InDesign intact.
I started this process by creang sketches of ideas that I had for the layout. Then I actually created all of them using Adobe InDesign, and from therechose my favorite layout. I liked this layout because of the white space thatwas implemented throughout the design, making the layout organized andsimple.
