Welcome... to the 3rd Amersham Community Choir Christmas Concert. Formed in September 2014 the choir now exceeds 150 members. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings and our ethos is to have fun singing and enjoy each others’ company. To date we have raised over £9,500 for local charities and worthy causes.
Singing has been proven to have a positive effect on health and well-being, many of our members often comment upon the ‘buzz’ they get from taking part.
This is true of all ages as you will hear this evening. We are very grateful to be supported by The Beacon School tonight so sit back and enjoy!

The Beacon Voices The ‘Beacon Voices’, directed by Mrs Liz Van Tromp, represent The Beacon School in Amersham where there are currently nearly 200 boys singing in the school’s choirs. Choral singing is strong at The Beacon; over the last few years the choir has undertaken successful tours to Budapest, New York and more recently, Venice. They have also performed alongside ‘a capella’ groups ‘I’ll Divo’ and ‘Out of the Blue’. They sing a wide range of repertoire and perform regularly, both within school and at outside venues. The boys performing for you today represent all the boys at The Beacon who love to sing.
The Beacon Vintage VoicesThe ‘Beacon Vintage Voices’, directed by Mrs Debra Ivens, are the older members of The Beacon community and consist of parents, staff and ‘old boys’. Formed two years ago they rehearse on a Tuesday evening. Although most of their members are connected to the Beacon in some way, anyone who loves to sing is welcome to join.
