Protect Your Car from Theft

4 simple steps to a secure vehicle!

Powered by

• Never leave your keys in the ignition.

• Lock your vehicle and take the keys with you even if you’re leaving it for a moment.

• Never leave your vehicle with the engine running.

Lock Your Vehicle

Protect Your Keys

• Be cautious before you hand your keys over to strangers, including parking lot attendants, valet parking and garage attendants. Vehicle lifters need only a moment or two to take a duplicate impression of your keys.

• If you lose your keys, replace the entire lock set at once.

Park Safely

• Park in busy, well-lit areas.

• If there is no safe place near your house/office to park, then consider renting space at a nearby garage/parking lot.

• Make sure your vehicle is fitted with an alarm which will blare if anyone tries to pick the lock when it is parked.

Install Anti-Theft Devices

• Though most cars come with mechanical steering-cum-ignition lock, you remain at risk of duplication of keys. An additional anti-theft device that cuts off fuel and electrical circuit is always recommended.

• A suitable engine immobiliser in your car also saves it from theft.
