body: heave ho.) Offenders of town laws w i l l have t h e i r dads phoned (be su re they ' r e out of town) and t h e i r names put on publ ic record( i f you give your r e a l name).

To keep c i t y gangs from messing up our " f i n e record," po l i ce c a r s w i l l be s t a t ioned along Nott S t r e e t ( c i t y gangs: come i n by Union o r State) .The chief recommends our having a

school dance t h a t n igh t i n o r - der t o keep us o f f the s t r e e t s ( u n t i l a f t e r the dance). Chief McGovern reminds us about the s t r i c t s t a t e laws regarding the use of f i r e c r a c k e r s (so be su re t o look both ways before you s e t them o f f . )

was the substance of a t a l k given r e c e n t l y by the Reverend Edward Caro thers ,pas tor of t he Schenectady F i r s t Methodist Church, before a f u l l assembly of the NSHS s tuden t body.

D r . Carothers ' l e c t u r e was supplemented by s l i d e s of pho- tographs taken by him and h i s wi fe on h i s r e c e n t t r i p i n t o the Sov ie t . D r . Carothers ' t r i p took him from the Ukraine i n the South t o Leningrad on the B a l t i c . He showed p i c t u r e s of famous Moscow bui ld ings , c o l l e c - t i v e farms,and popular c i t i z e n vaca t ion spas.

I n a hard fought game from s t a r t t o f in i sh , we defea ted Guilderland l a s t Saturday, 7-6.

I n t he f i r s t ha l feach team got i n s i d e the o t h e r ' s 20 yard l i n e twice, bu t both defenses held. Niskayuna crossed the Gildy goal l i n e once on a 40 yard pass from Gibson t o J ana i t is , bu t a pena l ty n u l l i f i e d the play.

I n the second h a l f the War r i o r s a f t e r the k ickoff took the b a l l from t h e i r 22 t o t he Gildy 8,and Ken Morret l scored on a buck. Fred Kirk kicked what turned ou t t o be the c ru- c i a l po in t a f t e r .

On the next k ickoff J i m Ganders of Gildy r e tu rned the b a l l t o the Niskie 42. QB Dick Brunk passed t o end Paul Dela- mater f o r the sco re . The con- ve r s ion rush was succes s fu l , bu t the sco re was n u l l i f i e d by a n o f f s idesand Gildy never threa tened again.

This was our second con- s ecu t ive win. We a r e now 2-3 f o r the season and t i e d f o r fou r th i n the league s tanding .

c ros s -country runners i n the Eas t , our squad p l a c e d n i n t h i n a f i e l d of twenty-eight during the annual Fordham cross-country run i n Mew York.

Running condi t ions were a - bout a s bad a s they poss ib ly could b e . I t had r a ined f o r two days and a t the time of the race i t was s t i l l coming down. Atthe gun two hundred boys s loshed o f f i n the mud.

By a s co re of 1-0, the N i s - kayuna g i r l s ' honor hockey team b e a t Shaker High l a s t week on t h e i r f i e l d . Marion Montgomery was given c r e d i t f o r the only goa l scored during the game.

Af t e r the game, the Niskay- una g i r l s were i n v i t e d t o go swimming i n the Shaker - h i g h swimming poo 1.

It was announced a t ch i s game by the Shaker High gym t e ache r t h a t another NSHS g i r l s ' honor hockey team had placed f i r s t among the e i g h t competing schools i n the Sub- urban S c h o l a s t i c Council Play- day l a s t weekend.

By winning t h i s game, the f o u r t h period c l a s s s t h e Ruins, moved one s t e p c l o s e r t o t he t i t l e of winner of t he c l a s s hockey games.

DRAMA CLUB PLANS THE YEAR The Drama Club, under t he

l eade r sh ip of Mrs. H i l b e r t w i l l hold one genera l meeting a month, wi th workshops i n be- tween according t o s tuden t s ' i n t e r e s t s , Mrs. H i l b e r t s a i d .

One major product ion w i l l be presented i n March. Audi- t i o n s w i l l be open then t o t he whole s t u d e n t body.

The group plans t o produce two one-act p lays , one i n the f a l l and l a t e r , one i n s p r i n g The c lub w i l l a l s o p a r t i c i p a t e i n t he Christmas Program,which w i l l involve t he Foreign Lan- guage and Music Departments.
