A small country, similar in size to Japan or Great Britain with a population of just over 4.4 million, New Zealand is gloriously un-crowded. REINZ statistics show that New Zealand residential property values have increased steadily over the last decade, with a particularly strong growth in the market post GFC.
The property market in Wanaka is moving through an “upswing” of growth and expansion, driven by population growth and increased tourist numbers to the region.4

Property values in Central Otago have increased over the last year, with REINZ data showing that median residential dwelling sales prices have increased steadily over the last decade.
