THE BIG EVENT: CONCEPT

• Client: 2018 FIFA World Cup Administration and Committee

• Purpose of Event: FIFA’s mission is develop football everywhere and for all, to touch the world through its inspiring tournaments and to build a better future through the power of the game

• Type of Event: International Soccer Tournament (hosted by a country every 4 years)

• Background of Event: The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, otherwise known by FIFA (French for International Federation of Association Football), is responsible for the organization and governance of football's major international tournaments, most notably the FIFA World Cup, held since 1930. It’s headquarters are in Zürich, Switzerland, and its current president is Sepp Blatter.

• Concept: to highlight world-class athleticism, to entertain viewers and guests, to celebrate each country’s unique strengths and overall cohesiveness, to enjoy high-level competition at an international level.

• Audience Profile: Soccer fanatics of all ages, recent emphasis in youth.

THE BIG EVENT: ADMISSIONS

• Admittance System into Venues & Parties: Hired Security admitting only those with clearance/all-access pass visible.

• Arrival and Departure: Arrival on or before April 14th, departure morning of April 16th

• Credentials: Clearance/all-access passes handed out at hotel reception desk upon arrival, along with tournament and host city information (at separate staffed desk within sight of reception desk)

• Access Control Points (security): Hotel: Secure door barrier to hotel conference room (ballroom for party) additionally protected by hired security guard, room key reader in elevator, hotel room key. Stadium: Secure door barrier to control room and presidential box protected by armed security guards.

• Staffing Requirements for both venues: Security Guards at access control points and entrance/exit to hotel and stadium, carpenters, riggers, electricians, groundskeepers, stage crew, lighting specialists, sponsorship activation executives, and guest services specialists required for operations.

EVENT SCHEDULE

• The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held on the weekend of April 14-16. For our FIFA World Cup partners and their guests, we know that there is not a minute to waste throughout this exciting weekend. Enjoy!

Saturday, April 14th: 3pm - 10pm

3pm: Hotel Check-In at Hilton Atlanta*

5pm: Opening Ceremony in Stadium (Bruce Springsteen and Katy Perry to open with performances and Star-Spangled Banner feat. Carrie Underwood)

7pm: Post-Ceremony Gathering in the Georgia Dome (Meal brought to you by Bojangle’s and Pepsi, Co.)*

Sunday, April 15th: 6am – 10pm

6am-8am: Continental Breakfast

9am-9pm: *Commencement of this round’s World Cup Games all day at stadium field.

9pm: Set Performance by Journey, followed by fireworks show visible from inside stadium and hotel rooftop.

Monday, April 16th: 6am-12pm

6am-8am: Continental Breakfast

8am-12pm: Free Time (Visit Atlanta Attractions, stay at hotel to swim, play tennis, play basketball, run, workout, or just relax)

12pm: Check-Out of Hilton Atlanta*

Additional special events and entertainment will be scheduled throughout the weekend at times to be determined.

TRANSPORTATION

• Transportation is provided free of charge via private busses to both the new stadium downtown, and the Atlanta International Airport (ATL: the 2nd cheapest U.S. airline through which to fly)!

• The MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transportation Authority) is a heavy rail rapid transit and bus system throughout the heart of Atlanta. Georgia, that can transport guests throughout the city at a small fee.
