SACRIFICE.• THE DECLINING SEX RATIO IN INDIA AMPLY PORTRAYS THE DISCRIMINATION
SHOWN TOWARDS WOMEN.• PROBLEM OF UNEMPLOYMENT, POVERTY, ECONOMIC INEQUALITY, GENDER
DISCRIMINATION, LACK OF PROPER EDUCATION ETC. WHICH ARE THE PART AND PARCEL OF SOCIETY, PREVAIL MOSTLY IN WOMEN.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVEFollowing are the major areas which we want to cover in our research:
• Security system in Mumbai
• Security in public transport for women
• Awareness of law and order
• Responsiveness of people towards crime against women
• Kind of harassment faced by women in Mumbai
• Preparedness of women against such crimes
