Introduce E-Learning at Jose Rizal University
Installation, deployment and maintenance of an LMS
Identify the effect on students learning outcomes
Highlight the challenges in institutionalizing E-Learning
The growing adoption of Learning Management Systems in Philippine colleges and universities has been seen notably as many desired to be in the trend of consolidation and providing a single infrastructure to manage learning and training.
A web based LMS for Jose Rizal University, an institution that cares about good education is a better alternative as an enabling technology that provides the platform to management, delivery and tracking of blended learning inside the classroom / to students who belong to the low and the middle class.
The increase in ICT usage in higher education in the past years led to several projects attempting to integrate LMS within the learning environment.
Although unstable to early adopters, analysts of E-learning implementations in Philippine institutions are now optimistic to the idea of its enabling technologies, particularly the LMS.
The researchers selected MOODLE. JRU has always been in the line of
granting quality service to its students. There has been recent increase in network bandwidth, launching of campus WiFi, and the integration of open source technologies.
