When have you got some feedback concerning your driving?
What could you improve in your own driving?
• What is your own goal?
• What are your strengths?
• Where are your weaknesses?
• What exactly would you like to learn next?
• When do you start practicing?
Sakari Hopia 6
We have an individual training programme
• Our tool calculates the driving indicators in the specific areas and analyses individual figures and relates them to a comparison group selected from the previous collected database.
• The more personal the follow-up data that is collected, the more individualdevelopment is taken into account, when forming personal trainingprogramme.

Our IDEA is that
We have developed and still developing an easy to install tool to remind people of the meaning of safe and environmental way of driving by collecting data, analyzing it and then giving feedback via internet.

Social networking (Facebook possibility)
Is included for spreading learning experiences outside of a driving school
• It is well known that people are spending more and more of their time hanging in Facebook and Twitter.
• We are now giving them an opportunity to share their driving lessons with their friends and learn from each other.

I would like to invite you to a modern IDEA driving school!
Get your personal username and password which can be changed
Learner’s menu bar:Home, Timeline, Course info, Exercises, Course material, IDEA, Invoice info
For example TIMELINE and IDEA are now shortly presented. This presentation is not including admin’s or teacher’s own pages.
The Timeline includes
Theory, Driving, Diary columns and a film how to use it.
In the Theory column
There are basic- and applied assignments, books and video materials in internet. It shows how many lessons has already been taken and the assignment success rate.
In the theory column
Among other applied assignments we have some different kind of e-learning materials and questions linked to the IDEA.
Here we have an E-learning material example
What do you think is the right answer?
Internet book and other material
Can be read nearly everywhere by using tablet, laptop or smart phone.
The Timeline includes
Theory, Drive, Diary columns
Drive column in the middle
Shows when the driving lesson has been taken and when the next will be. We can also see how many lessons have been taken so far.Green IDEA button, when pushed, shows the route map with a lot of different data..
IDEA route map
Gives different kind of data to be analyzed by a learner and teacher. If wanted teacher may ask some details concerning the route. By moving cursor they can go back to a certain spot or use yellow or red spots.
Yellow and red spots are used
By clicking a spot the IDEA gives an immediate Google view from the spot. These can be discussed privately, in theory lessons or among other drivers. Whenever and where ever you want, you can go back to that certain place.
IDEA route map information
Is including air/road temperature, date, time driven, RPM, Co 2 emissions, fuel consumption and speed. Here you can see Co2 emissions on different areas during the route.
ABOUT the FEEDBACK by Hattie
• ”The mistake I was making was seeing feedback as something teachers provided to students—they typically did not, although they made claims that they did it all the time, and most of the feedback they did provide was social and behavioral. It wasonly when I discovered that feedback was most powerful when it is from the studentto the teacher that I started to understand it better. When teachers seek, or at leastare open to, feedback from students as to what students know, what theyunderstand, where they make errors, when they have misconceptions, when they arenot engaged—then teaching and learning can be synchronized and powerful. Feedback to teachers helps make learning visible”. Hattie, 2009; 173

The Timeline includes
Theory, Drive, Diary columns
The Diary column is for feedback and selfevaluation
It gives an opportunity to add own diary material as text and photos. Includes self evaluation forms to be filled and then discussed, for example with the teacher.
Self evaluation form
Gives the learner and the teacher possibility to see the improvements and possible some disagreements.
From the menu
We can find also the IDEA page
IDEA page
Includes: Frontpage, Driver’s log, Reports, Tips and Settings
The thumbs on the front page
Shows a driver what part of their driving they should try to improve.
Ecology and economy section when opened
Shows the driver their index numbers, compare their driving to a comparison group and shows strengths / weaknesses in their driving in different colors. The direction to where their driving style is moving, can be seen in the middle.
Driver’s log information
Shows the start/end locations, opens different route maps, shows you statistics and so on. These can be used later on if wanted.
Statistics when opened
Gives a lot of different information concerning times when driven (rush time), RPM and fuel consumption … To be discussed if wanted.
Some of the reports when opened
Are showing a lot of different kind of interesting data to be discussed.
The Tips
Gives a driver an objective feedback made by the surveillance tool. To be read at home or where ever they want, for example with friends.
The settings
Gives an opportunity to change language, password and the color of the theme. Here the driver can link his/her Facebook account to IDEA.
