Thank You - Thank you to everyone who worked, baked or cookie shopped at the St. Joseph’s Women’s Guild cookie walk. It was another successful event. All the proceeds go to the youth of our parish and the parish needs.
Remembrance Tree - A Remembrance Tree at St. Joseph's has been placed on the right side of the altar. This tree is to honor loved ones who have died. The parishioners and friends are asked to recognize a friend or family member by placing their name on the tree. You will find paper ornaments on the side altar on which you can write their name and hang on the tree.
“Food Theology” Thank You! - Thank you to everyone who provided meals and goodies for the Newman Center students this semester. Your support has helped us have an opening to meet the students, share our faith with them, as well as provide a place where they can study and visit in a positive setting.
IRA Required Minimum Distributions – Donation Opportunity - There is good news if you have reached age 70 1⁄2 and you would like to help your parish or the Newman Center. If you have an IRA, the government requires you to take out a certain amount each year and be subject to federal tax. However, the law allows you to donate this amount directly to the parish or the Newman Center during 2018 and have it distributed free of federal income tax! What a wonderful opportunity for those 70 1⁄2 to help your parish or the Newman Center. Please contact the person that handles your retirement plan or your tax advisor.
March For Life Chicago Bus Trip – On January 13, 2019, the Catholic Diocese of Peoria is sponsoring a bus pilgrimage to Chicago to attend the March for Life!
