An assorted group of travelers find themselves thrown together on an expedition. At the center of the group are Mrs. Boynton and her four stepchildren who never leave her side. This apparent devotion is actually a façade for something far more sinister. Sarah King, a young English doctor, and her colleague, the eminent psychologist Dr. Theodore Gerard, find themselves embroiled in a battle to free the children from the sadistic grasp of a tyrannical woman. This chilling play offers a unique take on the classic murder mystery, where Agatha Christie explores the realms of the sadistic mind.

Based on the Victor Hugo novel and
featuring songs from the Disney animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre
Dame tells the story of Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer held captive by his
devious care-taker, Frollo. He escapes one day during a festival and joins the
boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful gypsy,
Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though –
the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three
vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the gypsies – and
it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all. Auditions for The Hunchback of Notre
Dame will be held on January 6th and 7th from 6:30-9PM at BCT. Please prepare
a song no longer than 1 minute in length in the appropriate musical theater
style; please, no pop songs or acapella singing. An accompanist will be available, and sheet music should be
appropriately marked with cuts, etc. Callbacks will be held on January 8th or 9th by invitation only. Auditions
will also be comprised of readings from the script. Please include all rehearsal conflicts on your audition form.
