“Strangely, but rather wonderfully, a feather led me down the
quiet approach to the Serenity Cafe, after I'd asked for
directions. I was the first customer on this Sunday morning but
there was no delay in bringing me a coffee and a bacon roll
(probably the best Sunday breakfast one can have, anywhere)
and, as I'd already bought a copy of The Sunday Times, all was
pretty much perfection.
Set up to encourage those who've been through tough times,
this is a place which has been lovingly and tastefully decorated
and designed for both comfort and pleasing the eye.
My Dad used to set great store by "atmospherics" (which I
inherited) and this delightful cafe resonates with Good Vibes.
If you're seeking a sanctuary, during the coming Edinburgh
Festival, go seeking. The food is good, the staff very nice and
you'll definitely feel refreshed on many levels.
What more could we ask for? “

Join us for our very first Festival Programme. Many performers
have kindly provided their shows free of charge to help us stage
an exciting array of comedy, music, dance and theatre.
We are a charity with a social enterprise café at the heart . We
are low-budget, hard working festival amateurs! If you like what
we have done, please make a donation.
The Serenity Café will continue to serve great food throughout
the festival—please join us, relax and enjoy.
