Small Business Fundraising Pack
What you can do for us
How you can help
Your business can get involved in a variety
of ways, from having a collecting can in a
prominent position, to choosing us as your
Charity of the Year/Month/Week, to
holding a ‘Casual Friday’, or simply
encouraging your staff to join in our
fundraising activities.
The support of local businesses is crucial to
Julia’s House. We receive only five per cent
of our annual funding from the
government, which was been frozen for
the next three years.
Julia’s House is one of the worst funded
hospices in the UK as respite care is not
seen as a funding priority.
There are huge benefits to you as an
organisation in supporting Julia’s House. It
demonstrates to your staff and customers
your commitment to corporate social
responsibility, staff motivation and
engagement, morale and team building, as
well as making a big difference to the lives
of those in need in your immediate
community.
Fundraising
In the next few pages we will give
some examples of the different
ways, big and small, in which you
can fundraise for Julia’s House.
Volunteering
You and your employees can
volunteer to help us with:
collections, at events, at our retail
outlets, or in the office.
Donations
Your business may have suitable
products you could donate for raffle
prizes, to use in a tombola or to use
at a fundraising event.
Regular donating
You could have a collecting can for
spare change on a counter, set up a
regular donation, or have a
donation linked to a particular
product or service.
