Remember the Envelope— Don’t Leave Home Without It
We have been talking about the importance of our Offertory envelopes in the parish bulletin over the last several weeks. For most, it is a pure sacrifice to support the church financially. We appreciate that support and we thank you for including the parish when planning your family budget. Many of you have expressed how easy it is to walk out the door on Saturday evening or Sunday morning without picking up your envelopes. Everyone seems to be in a rush these days, going in many different directions. That is more familiar than not. One thing that you may not realize is that if you attend another church other than where you are registered and drop your envelope in their collection basket, that church will mail your envelope back to us. Some of you have indicated that you just throw cash in the collection. Please remember that your weekly contributions are used for the daily running of our parish with utility, education, worship, ministry, social and administrative costs. Yes, that involves a lot of expense. Help us meet our weekly Offertory quota- make a conscious effort to remember your envelope! Don't leave home without it!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, From the bottom of our sewing baskets... The Prayer Blanket Ministry received over 20 yards of gingham fabric this week! Because of our church community’s generosity, we are able to continue to make our beautiful prayer blankets for all of those
in need of comfort and prayer.
If you know of someone who needs a blanket, please get in touch with your parish office or call Suzanne at 724.360.0027.

Catholic Church. The process starts in September and runs through the Easter season. It includes study, prayer, liturgy and community. Participants meet weekly and participate in special liturgies during

Catholic Faith or is considering becoming a member.

Revelation: The
Kingdom Yet to Come
Perhaps no book in the Bible
fascinates people more than
Revelation. Yet relatively
few people have studied the book, especially from a Catholic
perspective. Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come is an
intriguing Bible study that shows how the kingdom established
by Christ in this Church is intimately connected with the
kingdom of heaven.
St. Mary, Herman, will begin an eleven-week Bible study
Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come on Monday,
September 16, at 9:15 AM. Participants will meet every week
to view an engaging video presentation followed by a time of
lively group discussion and fellowship. For more information or
to register, visit ascensionpress.com, or contact Marian Goetz
at 724-352-3443, [email protected] or text 724-996-
2435. Participant workbook is necessary and can be purchased
directly from Acension Press for $26.95 which includes online
access to videos.

LIFE TEEN, Leading Teens closer to Christ
St Mary’s Lifeteen will be starting it’s 10th year in just a few weeks. Lifeteen is a Catholic program for post Confirmation and High School young adults. This year we will be welcoming the young adults from St John’s and St Joseph’s to join us. We generally gather in the evenings of the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. As part of this, we need to grow our team with more, energetic, team members from all 3 parishes to provide this program . This is a fantastic opportunity to help young people develop a better relationship with Christ and learn more about our faith as well. If you feel called to help out, we would love to discuss it. Call or Text John Hinterlang at 724-968-6238 for more information. https://lifeteen.com
