1 STAGE DESCRIPTION1.1 PurposeElaborate a portable application connected to ILIAS for stock inventory (Apple or google)
1.2 TechnologyThe technology is open. It can be developed on Apple, Google or Windows tablet platform. If possible the application will be compatible with the different technologies.
A mobile device, e.g. Smartphone, Ipad or Android tablet - can scan the material (NATO Stock Number and lot), which will be automatically queried on a stocktake screen. The quantity can directly be corrected on the local device and uploaded in the ILIAS application.
Either this tablet PC works via secured wireless connection directly on the ILIAS database with existing business logics, either the local application will be made fully autonomously and will be synchronized with ILIAS via VPN or through the authorised computer of a store keeper connected to ILIAS.
1.3 Detailed Description of the stageThe goal is to build an application which will be used by warehouse keeper to establish a stock inventory of a warehouse managed in the ILIAS system.
First the stock situation known in the logistic system will be downloaded locally on the device with detailed description of the material registered in stock and the location where is material is supposed to be stocked
Then the stock keeper will be guided by this application based on different filtering and criteria to verify that the physical stock situation is correct and compliant with the logistic system. It is required to execute the stock inventory of all locations and all material at least once a year.
In case of data mismatch, it will be possible eithero to verify and confirm that the stock is correcto to mark that material is missingo to register found material not known in the logistic application

The System will also be capable to read and interpret barcode information as registered on the material or on the warehouse location. Binlocation and material will indeed possibly be equipped of barcode stickers.

The logic in this system is fully done on the mobile device: counting, correction, validation. No ILIAS screen is necessary during the stock counting.
1.4 Expected ResultThe main advantage of this system is that all relevant information of a given NSN, stock is available while the store keeper is counting the data (picture of NSN, other location of the same NSN, overview of lots information of a given NSN, …) when the store keeper confirms a difference on the local device, it will be corrected in ILIAS at the moment data is synchronised again and discrepancies will be generated automatically. It brings ILIAS on the floor where the counted process is made.
