Step 4 – Approve The approval page is where the Course Convenor records a recommendation and views approval decisions by the Chair of the School Assessment Board and Dean (Learning and Teaching).

Entering a recommendation.
Select the required response from the drop-down list.
Enter a comment supporting the response.
Note: Recommended is the only decision a convenor can choose. If a convenor does not wish to recommend the proposed grades, he/she should return to Step 2 and review the grades.

Reassign an approver
It is possible to reassign an approver. This may be necessary, for example, if a staff member is on leave.
Choose Reassign. (Refer Figure 2.)

Choose (magnifying glass) to view a list of staff to whom the approval may be reassigned. (Refer
Figure 4.)

Select the required staff member.
The staff details display on the approval page. (Refer Figure 5.)

Choose (green tick).
A confirmation window displays confirming that the reassignment was successful.

History
The history panel identifies who has actioned the approvals and with whom the approval is current with.
Awarding grades
Once the Dean Learning and Teaching, has recorded their decision to award grades, the system is scheduled to automatically begin posting grades to the student’s academic record. Once grades have been posted, students will be able to view their grades via MyGriffth.
