Beijing's Belligerent Revisionism:Reconstituting Asia's 'End of History'?Visiting Fellow, Christopher B. Roberts argues thatFrancis Fukuyama’s famous ‘end of history’ thesis isbeing challenged by China’s rise and that Beijing’scapitalist authoritarian approach to development andinternational influence is now threatening Indo-Pacificstability. Drawing on his forthcoming book, The SouthChina Sea: Maritime Security and the Rules-based Order,Dr Roberts argues that China’s actions in the SouthChina Sea represent a strategic precedent for how it willsecure its interests over other disputes, such as the India-China Border, the East China Sea, and Taiwan.» find out more
