8ARTISTSSELECTEDTOPARTICIPATEINTHERESIDENCIESPROGRAMMEINITIATEDBYTHEENOANETWORK
FollowingtheopencallforresidencieslaunchedinNovember2017,5womenartistsand3menartists,willbeawardedaresidencyinoneorseveralinstitutionsofthenetwork.45applications(25filedbymenand20bywomen)havebeensubmittedby23composers,13stagedirectors,4conductors,2librettistsand3visualartistsof18differentnationalities.Thenetworkaimstoorganise27artistresidenciesover4years(May2016-May2020).SincethelaunchoftheYoungOperaMakersprogramme,6artistshavealreadybenefitedfromtheresidenciesprogramme.TAILOR-MADERESIDENCIESTORESPONDTOTHENEEDSOFANEWGENERATIONOFOPERACREATORSTheresidenciesofferedbyenoaareopportunitiesforyoungcreatorstoliveandworkatanartisticinstitutionforavaryinglengthoftimeanddevelopanongoingandfruitfulrelationshipwithit.Theimmersioninaninstitutionallowsthemtodiscoverhowitworksanditsdifferentactivities,totake inspiration from its artistic programme and take part in outreach projects. It is also a greatchancefortheartiststomeetandtalkwiththe institution’ssingers,musiciansandcreatorsandtoenrichtheirownpractice.Fortheinstitutionshostingartistsresidencies,itisaboutforgingtrustfulrelationshipthatcouldleadtofuturecollaborationsandtobenefitfromtheoutlook,imaginationandcreativityoftheartist.Thedurationofresidenciesandtheiraimsaredetermineddependingontheartistsandthehostinstitution.

moreimportantly,theseresidencieswouldstrengthenrelationsbetweeninstitutions,theiraudiencesandtheartists,offeringthemprivilegedworkingconditionsandprofessionalintegrationopportunities.(…)Thereis
