What is TMG ?
TMG is a patented technology and innovative muscle diagnostic
technological procedure that is non-invasive, selective and reliable.
It was developed to precisely measure an athlete’s individual muscle
contractions and is able to determine muscle activation pattern (muscle
fiber type utilization), and muscle tone, as well as muscle reaction and
muscle contraction times.
Why Test your Muscle Characteristic?
Testing specific muscle characteristic provides an athlete with
important information about muscle performance and composition.
TMG data base has gathered lot of data through all the yeas of testing
athletes of different sports. Software uses this data from each
measurement to assess muscle strengths, weaknesses and balance.
These interpretations are made based on muscle activation, muscle
symmetry and muscle synchronization called MASS.
TMG helps athletes optimize their training and performance by
identifying muscular imbalances (symmetry and synchronization),
preventing injuries and allowing more efficient rehabilitation.
TMG is simple, flexible and compatible with other methods and
applications, on or off the field.
Athletes are profiled, monitored, and guided on how to correct
imbalances/deficiencies quickly and efficiently. TMG reveals the true
functional ability of an athlete’s muscles without excessive costs, time
and travel.
Using of TMG
Sports teams, coaches, physiotherapists, athletic therapists, and
performance professionals desire efficient athletic performance. They
have a common need to make informed decisions by gathering as much
objective, quantitative information as possible.
TMG provides coaches and training professionals with this critical and
valuable information through a quick and easy test with real time
reporting.
What does TMG measure?
TMG measures a muscle's characteristic using
5 unique parameters that contribute to the mechanical
response of a muscle.
TMG Parameters
Muscle Reaction/Delay TimeThe length of time it takes for a stimulus to activate a specific muscle.
Muscle Contraction TimeThe duration of a specific muscle contraction, reflecting muscle activation and
fiber type utilization (fast twitch or slow twitch).
Muscle Relaxation TimeThe length of time it takes a specific muscle to relax after maximal
contraction.
Sustain TimeThe length of time a muscle contraction is continued without relaxing.
Maximal Muscle-Displacement (Tone)Radial displacement by the force a specific muscle produces during supra-
maximal electrical stimulation (twitch type electrical stimulation – 1ms). This
measurement data provides valuable information related to muscle tone,
muscle tightness/looseness and muscle volume.

REPORTS PROVIDED BY TMG
1.Quick Report
2.Personal Report
3.Team Report
4.Trend Report
1.QUICK REPORT This is provided to the athlete after an assessment. It is designed to provide an easy reference on specific muscular characteristics and imbalances, including reference graphs and a colored guide with the suggested course of action.
2.PERSONAL REPORT
This report, which can also be shared with medical or training professionals, includes the raw test result numbers obtained from the assessment. It is generated with automatic interpretations on muscle contraction speed, as well as lateral and functional symmetry.
3.TEAM REPORTProvided to coaches, team therapists and doctors in order to give a full
picture on team performance. This report can be used to evaluate training and team trends during the season.
4.TREND REPORTProvided to medical or training professionals for ongoing assessments. This
report is generated with a column and/or bar graph to show specific muscular changes over time.
Dan Pfaff , Head Coach, ALTIS
“We used TMG units during my four years in the UK leading into the Olympics of 2012. It aided us in monitoring
sport injury status, practice readiness factors and gave us very valuable information on therapy interventions.
It was absolutely a factor in the production of one gold medalist achieving his life long dream.“
