The Art of “Trojan” War

The city was

surrounded by

high walls and

possessed only

one gate. It was

a fortress unlike

any other in its

day. Nearly

impregnable.

The City of Troy

The

Greeks(green)

come ashore and

the

defenders(red)

sally forth to

meet them.

Greeks Landing

Hector pulls

back his troops

knowing the

numerically

superior Greeks

would soon

overwhelm his

small army. The

Greeks establish

a perimeter and

begin the siege.

The Siege Begins

The Greeks Are

hit by a Plague

that decimates

their numbers.

They fall back

and try to

determine if they

are to stay or

leave.

Greek Losses

The Trojans

counter attack,

pressing their

advantage.

Achilles does not

partake in the

battle.

Counter Attack

The duel

between

Achilles and

Hector. Hector is

killed and his

body paraded

around the

settlement.

The Challenge

The Greeks

realize they

cannot win

conventionally

and pull back to

devise a new

strategy.

Stalemate

The “Trojan

Horse” is built

and the Greeks

hide, awaiting

the signal to

attack.

The Trap

The Gates are

opened by the

Hellenic

commandos and

the Greek armies

pour in. The city

is pillaged and

its people

slaughtered
