Immutable is not to be confused with immobility.
Immobility is the state of not moving; static, motionless.
Immutable : unchanging over time or unable to be
changed.
Gods immutability refers to Gods changeless being.
Malachi 3:6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.”Psalm 102:27 “You remain the same, and your years will never come to an end.”Psalm 103:17 “From everlasting to everlasting, the Lords love is with those who fear him.”James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
1. God is unchanging in His character
One of the most powerful characteristics of God is His
holiness.
Holy : Set apart, hallow, sanctify.

flower fades, but the word of the Lord does not fade.”

Psalm 33:10-11 “The Lord fails the plans of the nations, he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.”
Isaiah 14:26-27 “This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations. For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?”

of God.”

“Though it is good to realize that God never changes because he is already perfect, we need to recognize that immutability would be a disaster for human beings. If we were immutable, we would be frozen in our imperfections. Instead, we can become more like the Christ we love. As difficult as change can be, it is an opportunity we can embrace. For the believer, two things make change possible : obedience to Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit at work within us.”
