another. Lanes are narrow, unpaved and dusty.

Population of village is less. They know one another and co-operate with each
other. They are called villagers.

Most villagers work on farms. The UAE encourages farmers and provides them
with seeds and fertilizers.

Villagers also rear animals like sheep and cows. These animals provide people milk
and meat.

In villages, shops are small. The things
sold there usually come from towns.

The desert is the home of Bedouins. The Bedouins wander from place to place in search of pasture. The Bedouins are called “nomads”. Rearing sheep and cattle is their
occupation. They depend on them as their main source of income.

The government of UAE helps the Bedouins to settle down. Government builds houses in
modern villages with facilities such as water, electricity, schools and clinics

Although most of the land of UAE is desert, water and earth also exist.

There are many villages in UAE. Coastal Villages – Sha’am & Merbeh
Noncoastal Village – Alaweer Occupation – Fishing, boat building, pearl
diving, farming
